instead of buying a dog, adopt one! there are thousands of dogs in animal shelters-both no-kill and kill-who desperately need homes. each year, thousand+ HEALTHY pups and adult dogs are euthanized to make more room in the animal shelters. PLEASE adopt and help save a dog’s life :)

From one point of view, adopting at a shelter is “buying” a dog—you do, after all, have all the fees and such.
I agree, though, it would be much better for most people to adopt a dog from a shelter than to buy one elsewhere!
