SimplyStacey is focusing on writing!
We brought her home last night. She was shaking like a leaf when I carried her inside. In the backyard, Ginger bounded toward her at full speed and scared her even more. G. took Ginger for a walk and I fed Moxie some chicken, which she loved. We played a little fetch, which she loved also. She and Ginger were wary of one another at first, but are already peacefully coexisting.
One nice surprise: she is housebroken! We weren’t sure if she would be. She had one accident right at first, and may have one or two more, but for the most part she is taking care of business in the yard like a champ.
Moxie got fixed on Monday, and I was worried she would constantly be biting at the incision. She itches at it occasionally, but stops when I tell her to stop. She really is a good girl.
She already loves to curl up right by me wherever I am. We have been lavishing attention on Ginger, too, though! I’m about to go take Ginger for a walk now.
I’m not going to walk Moxie, because she keeps sneezing and I think she may have a cold! If it keeps up, we’ll take her to the vet.
I still miss Pumpkin terribly. But I love the new dog, and love our old dog. I felt so happy cuddling with them last night I thought my heart would burst :)
