Don't get upset yet

may be they had a reason and ask them politely when you talk to them next and if they come up with a lame excuse just let it go.. they are only human and humans make mistakes all the time.. being hurt/upset/perplexed would only affect you.. you should take comfort in the fact that you were big enough to take the 1st step :)

PS: come on cheer up and end the year on a happy note, I don’t like seeing such a spirited person like you so low.. :)
