On Christmas Day my aunt pulled out a video that was a compilation of video and photos of the family back in the 1950s and 1960s. It was something she had put together as a treat for us this holiday season. It was absolutely fascinating. Seeing my mom and her siblings as young children and then as teenagers. We have SO many pictures. Of the cousins and the aunts. We really need to start scrapbooking or SOMETHING. But it made me realize how important documenting your life is. I’m not a professional photographer and I don’t do photography as a hobby. But for the sake of being able to show MY family who I was in the past one day…I really need to start taking more pictures.
