socially liberal, economically conservative

I know there is a majority in the country who would join me, so why can’t it be done. There shouldn’t be a need to compromise on these 2 fundamental issues.

Sounds as though you may be Libertarian

They pretty much adopt a “hands off” policy vis-a-vis the government on all the social causes and dramatically shrunken government on the economic side.
