Read a couple of
YA novels, good ones,13 Reasons Why and Perks of Being a Wallflower. Also read Mary Karr’s memoir, Lit, which is first-rate.

I can recommend an off-beat mystery. I recently finished The Coroner’s Lunch by Colin Cotterill. The setting is Laos in 1975, soon after the Pathet Lao deposed the royal head of state and set up a communist regime. The protagonist is a 72 yr old doctor who was “volunteered” to serve as the country’s only coroner. It’s a well-crafted yarn, with unlikely heros.
finding YA books that are capture my interest. Just put two down some fifty pages in. Will keep an eye out of Coroner’s Lunch.
