get a six pack (read all 2 entries…)
ab-olisher continued

Well, its bee exactly five weeks since my first entry and I am still making good progress but DAMN getting a six-pack is harder then it looks – well at least for me. I am the type of person that gains weight easily and finds it hard to take off. I have been exercising like a fiend – lots of cardio and really watching what I eat but still I have yet to see my entire ab muscles. So far I have the top two and my love handles are shrinking but I can’t seem to get the fat around my belly button to go. My solution – more low intensity cardio. Apparently cardio between 120-140 HR burns fat rather than immediate carbs….

Maybe this is a little narcissistic to be writing about getting a six-pack. It’s amazing how we can change our bodies based on the type of activity and what we eat.

oooh ouch you have chosen a hard region

Yeah man, I would have to say from my quest that the lower two are the hardest to see. It depends on your body type but generally that area around your belly button is the hardest. You just have to really watch what you eat (low fat is important), do lots of low intensity (120 to 160 heart rate) cardio because that burns fat (stored energy) rather than what’s in your stomach (immediate energy) and lower abs work (leg raises off a bench or hanging from a chin-up bar) 3 to 4 times a week. You’ll know you are working the muscles if they hurt the next day – you gotta make’em burn. If you do these things and you are like me you’ll see the top ones first and then slowly the bottom ones will start to show but it takes time so you’ll need a little determination. Someone once told me ‘the last place you take fat off your body is the first place you put it on and vice versa.’ This saying might help you determine if you’ll have better luck with the bottom two than I have.

abs diet

ever hear of the abs diet?
Its a six week plan written by David Zinczenco. My brother bought the book..I was reluctant to read it as I don’t really believe in dieting but I did read it and it makes a lot of sense.Though I guess you would consider it more of a lifestyle diet. What I like is that it seems easy to follow..nothing extreme about it. Very healthy diet where you eat 5-6 meals a day. Anyway, good luck on the six pack.
