I like having things. I love to shop and buy stuff and not get rid of anything. I’m not exactly a hoarder…but there is just too much stuff in my room. This was never really a problem because my room was always clean enough and I can get rid of things I really don’t need…but now, I have a problem.

Mice.

We always get mice in the winter. We’re not dirty, but we’ve got a huge backyard with lots of trees, shrubbery, grass, and accompanying wildlife. Every winter we catch a few mice trying to hibernate in our kitchen. We use the no-kill traps, and set them free in a field a few miles away. This year, one of the mice was hanging out in my room. It took a few weeks to catch him and I thought he was the only one. Wrong! A few weeks later, I found some more mouse poop in my room.

Aaauuuggghhhh.

This is where having a lot of stuff can be a problem.

So I have been cleaning like crazy. I bought big sterilite containers to hold things like pictures and to keep the mice out of them. I got rid of three garbage bags worth of stuff. Still, there’s too much of it. I keep all of my stuff pretty neat, but there are still a lot of hiding places and I don’t want to give that bastard mouse a place to hide.

But there is still soooo much stuffff.
