So these two books would make up for May and June of 2011….one more to go to be up-to-date!!
Domestic Violets by Matthew Norman. I thought this book was hilarious! About a writer coping with his famous writer father winning the Pulitzer Prize while he juggles his dysfunctional extended family, his own manuscript, his corporate job that he hates and marital problems. It all sounds like it should be a drama, but its laugh-out-loud funny.
The Best Skillet Recipes by the Editors of Cook’s Illustrated (one of the best cooking magazines). Read this book cover to cover (yep, another cookbook that I couldn’t put down!!) Inspired me to cook more real food and explained the hows and the whys of what works and what doesn’t. Loved it.
