leave a HUGE tip to a waitress or waiter
Not as easy as I thought.

When I saw this goal on another 43Thinger’s list, I thought it sounded fun, and that it would be an easy one to accomplish. But it seems ever since I added it, I haven’t found a waiter/waitress that was worth it. And I eat out A LOT!

Don’t know what the deal is. I’ve had REALLY good servers in the past, but not since I added this goal. LOL

Playing devils advocate, but I think you just have to do it, regardless of how deserving the waitress/waiter is. Follow your gut and do it for somebody who you think NEEDS it. Or give it to the server with the WORSE service and include a little note on your receipt along the lines of “hope this cheers you up and helps you to do a better job”.

You may be right....

...but I just can’t bring myself to give a huge tip to someone who can’t seem to get even the basics of good service down.

I really don’t think I’m THAT difficult to please. LOL

Asked if I wanted pepper on my steak…check

Huge?

I think I’m a pretty good tipper already. I usually tip around 20% if the service is adequate.

I just want to reward someone with a REALLY good tip…something crazy, like $100. THAT to me is my definition of huge.

But I can’t bring myself to do it with adequate or sub-par service.

Lately, I haven’t even been able to give them a “check” for even 3 of the 6 items on your list.

I’ll just wait until the perfect opportunity arises.
