Is it hard to become an au-pair in the US? It says on this website I read that you have to do certain courses before going to the host family? What are these courses and where in Wales can I do them? I’m going to uni in Aberystwyth and after that I want to go and be an au-pair in America for a year before maybe going to Canada as an au-pair for a couple of years. What’s the application process like and how do I find an agency? Thankyou Kindly for your help.

We have a great guy right now, he has been with us for 14 months. We will be VERY sad to see him go back to Costa Rica. My boys are now almost 5 & 6 yrs old.

My husband is British and has siblings in the London area and his parent’s retired to Spain.
I am american and my family is 6 hrs away.

We don’t need to start looking now, but in the future if you have any info for me.
