I’ve done a lot of reading on diet, the roles of different foods and their effects and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s really pretty simple: Eat more real food and less processed stuff. More fruits and veggies (fresh); less fries and cold cuts. Eat more whole grains and fewer cookies. Cook more. Eat out less. Easy.
Tonight I made what I call a mash. Red beans and red lentils with tomatoes, onions and peppers seasoned with some chili and served over brown rice. Pretty yummy, cheap, easy, and good for me. And it goes great with a beer!
