So in plain english, that means I’m a bank teller at the TD bank. And it’s awesome! I’ve only been there 3 weeks, but I’m enjoying it so far. I was totally stressed out for the first 2 weeks I was there. I even had nightmares about it, it was horrible! But things are better now. The thing that stressed me out was that I’ve never had a job where there was so little training. They seriously let me touch the mouse & keyboard a few times on my first 2 days and then, on my third day, they gave me my very own wicket. And I didn’t even know how to make a withdrawal from an account yet, one of the most basic banking transactions! It was crazy! I had to ask for help on every single thing I did, which obviously annoyed my customer as well as the customer of the CSR who had to help me instead of doing his/her own stuff. It really was awful. But now that I’m a few weeks into the job, I’ve got most of the basics down, but there’s still sooooooo much that I haven’t got a clue about. I like having people come to my wicket and getting to chat with them while I work. That never happened at my previous job, where hardly anyone ever came into the office at all. My new co-workers are all really friendly, it’s great! I’m so glad that I have this new job. Can’t figure out why I didn’t leave my crappy old job years ago. Getting fired for no reason turned out to be a wonderful thing!
