I’ll be honest, I’ve never been much of a flosser. The most consecutive times I had flossed my teeth, up until a month ago, had been twice.
The reason is fairly simple, I had a pile of excuses that if listed on paper would reach my roof; it takes too long, imagine the cost of all that floss, it couldn’t be very good for my gums (I’m quite impressed that I managed to convince myself that this was true).
And then something happened. I don’t know what, but I started flossing daily. It felt great. I’d love to say that I really put my mind to it, or that I realised that my health was important. But, no. I just did it.
At the end of the day, though, I’m happy in achieving this goal. I won’t mark it as done until I’ve been doing it for six months without interruption, but I feel like I’ve already achieved this. * smiles *
