hi – wow, i’m sorry, i didn’t see this comment until now! my magazine was online – Affinité – it doesn’t exist anymore, but it was definitely an experience while it did.

i got to meet budding writers, independent fashion designers, put together photoshoots, learned post-production. it sounds fancy and glamorous, but it really wasn’t. there was no big names involved, but you learn quickly that all you need is faith and some enthusiasm to make a no-name feel like a name worth supporting.

it’s so simple – if people are expecting sensationalism, bright lights and glitter, they’d be quickly disillusioned. we pulled everything together on a shoestring budget, calling on people who had talents to help us out, and in return, we’d feature their talents in the magazine.

the point is that we had a purpose for learning, and had a bit of fun chasing that purpose. tell me about what you’re trying to do and how far you’ve gotten. who knows? maybe if the stars are right, we can collaborate on something. :)
