Next Monday...

Ella is booked in for an operation. It’s day surgery and she’s having her eye corrected as it naturally turns in and up. She will be given local anaesthetic and apparently it’s only a small operation but still….Of course, I’m answering all of Ella’s questions as best I can and I hope she isn’t too worried. She doesn’t seem to be but she does keep alot to herself. I only tend to talk about it when she brings it up as I don’t want to overwhelm her.
We have the pre op appointment on Wednesday, so we’ll find out all the details then. I know she will be off school for at least a week. She shouldn’t do anything to strain her eye during the recovery time qwhich means no laptop, no DS, no TV (or maybe a little bit, I’ll inquire). She shouldn’t run about or get herself overly tired.
I plan a week of walking, talking and reading books to her. Maybe bake some cakes….it’s really made me think how much time she spends on electrical equipment!
