I just went to the gym today, feeling pretty psyched, and decided to walk for a couple of minutes first, then get cracking on a mile run, picking a steady pace and aiming to maintain it. I hadn’t set out to get a PB.
I always set it to km first because it feels like I’m making more progress faster, and then about 80% of the way through, I set it to miles again. I was really close to the 12-minute mile mark, so I boosted the speed in the last 15 seconds and got 11:59 :) Technically, I could mark “run a mile in 12 minutes” done as well, but since I just scraped it, I’m going to see if I can do it again before ticking it off.
