I have recently had surgery on my finger and was given what can only be described as a comedy bandage! It is so massive that I couldn’t get a plastic finger stall to fit it and I need to keep it on and dry for 2 weeks. I had the idea of putting a couple of layers of Tube-gauz over it and replacing it frequently, for hygiene purposes. I was pleased with myself until I heard in my mind’s ear how totally amazed the hospital staff would be when I went to have it removed. “Wow, we’ve never seen such a clean bandage, nobody has ever managed to look after their dressing a well as you!” I caught myself slipping and gave myself a shake haha
