After doing quite a bit of research concerning sunflower growth, I purchased a single pack of sunflower seeds earlier this month. Then I decided to imitate a previous biology project by germinating the seeds through the process of putting them in a plastic baggie along with a damp paper towel.

They did fairly well in there, growing to the point that nearly all of them were bursting out of their seeds. After this, I placed them in previously used flower pots to grow so that they may grow a bit more before being put out in the wild.

Just earlier this week, I have officially planted them in the backyard. So far, they have grown about approximately a grand total of one inch.

Five feet and ten inches to go before they as tall as me.
