When The White Stripes split, it made me really sad – I’ve always thought of them as one of the bands I’ve got to se before I die.
And Jack’s blues voice + old crappy guitar + Meg’s caveman drums still make me as excited as they used to when I first started to listen to them in high school.
Oh well…
Have you seen the documentary It Might Get Loud?
Yeah, When the White Stripes first came out I wasn’t aware of any Indie Rock, and I just remember feeling like a different person afterwards. At the time I was also listening to a lot of blues music so that definatly made them easy to latch onto.
I do enjoy It Might Get Loud. At the same time it kinda irks me that they didn’t show more of what went on between the three of them. It’s like they get three guitar gods in a room together and they only show brief snippets of what happened lol.
