For the past two days, there has been a refreshing shower of rain. While not entirely unwelcome, I miss the sunshine.

One great thing about it, though? It saved me from having to water my darlings. Today I went out back to take a look at them to find that they all have grown at least an inch taller!

One in particular has caught my attention: It is doing marvelously well, reaching to about four-five inches, I think. I rubbed one of the leaves between my fingers and found them in possession of the characteristic prickliness commonly found in sunflowers. I am so excited!

Even the one I was most worried about, which was not doing so well, has grown and established itself in my little garden. :D
