My friend had gotten me a bracelet from 31bits.com so I decided to check it out.
It turns out 31bits.com helps women in Uganda rise above poverty. I clicked on all 79 of the designers’ profiles and their stories were intriguing, funny, and humbling.
One woman’s read how she is always interested in life in the United States. Another one read how she wants everyone in America to know how thankful she is for the opportunity to create bracelets. One that really stood out to me was a woman who used to sell produce. Her profits would be less than $1 a day but thanks to 31bits.com, she is living “the good life.”
I’m happy that these women are being helped to reach their full potential.
