Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

daniel YOU DON'T OWN ME!!!!!!

Hey

I know it’s hard. Really, in my life this is one of the hardest battles I have ever fought through. Three tips I can offer

1 draw closer to god in your relationship with Jesus.
2 find out why you are masturbating. Knowing this will help you to set up your defense and battle plans against it.
3 learn when you are most vulnerable to masturbation.
I hope this helps. Message me if you have any other questions. I’ve defeated this enemy of mine, only to fall right back into his hand. But that was because I chose to. Now I’m back to fighting it. I’m with you. Youre not alone in this fight.

we can nag together about our life problems, besides I need someone to point out my English grammar mistakes

Evaluate why you failed, pick a strategy and something to change, then stick with it. That’s really the best advice we can give. There are many many ways we each individually struggle, but everyone is different and some things work better for some than others.

For example: Many find that having an elastic wristband with them constantly helps. Whenever they have a temptation they snap it, and the brief pain keeps their minds from it. For me however, this frequently has the opposite effect and so isn’t something I use. You have to learn how you think, why you do what you do etc.

If you want more advice, click on some of our profiles and read over older posts. Many times I and others have long posts where we try to give advice or talk about why we failed. You might be able to glean something from these.

Nice to meet you!!!

You will get lot’s of good advice here and my best advice is to make a firm resolution to God as the first thing you do each morning, that you will NOT give in this day. A few of us have even agreed to do this each day as a team goal and there are specific prayers we pray in the morning if we you don’t have any in particular in mind. Check it out if you’d like :) http://www.43things.com/things/view/4769137/team-43s-renew-our-resolutions-daily-in-april
