You might not have heard as much about this: a Palestinian was shot dead by soldiers when he and two of his relatives confronted them outside his home. He came out to them, thinking they were burglars. They fought and the soldiers shot him. I couldn’t find a link in English, isn’t that interesting? Nobody will be charged in this case, nobody will be dismissed. This sort of things happens every day, apparently, we don’t always hear about it either.
The man who was killed was not European, he was probably not blond. He probably did not look like someone we might have known at school.
Not to underrate the attack on the peace activist, it is interesting how easily the discussion is turned from “human rights of Palestinians” to “human rights of activists who protest for human rights for Palestinians”, when you know whose rights are violated more.
