My weight is all over the place due to combinations of tablets. I am counting calories and consuming under the amount I am ‘allowed’ per day. Plus I am drinking my 8+ glasses of water per day. However I am now 4kg heavier than usual, and I have put this weight on in just under 2 weeks. It is due, I am almost certain, to taking one set of tablets which is insufficient, so my metabolism is messed up, and the others have a side effect of weight gain. I don’t know what to do.

Talk to your doctor or the one who prescribed these pills to you? Maybe there are alternatives with less side effects or it could be possible to not take them at all to get your weight back to normal.

Your doctor figures out whats wrong…I hope he/she does but if not, heres my take on things: this counting calories business is nonsense. If you starve your body, it will try and make reserves. I have seen people eat not much and still get heavier. Conversely, I’ve read about this guy, Tim Ferris, pig out and still lose weight. Weight management seems to escape common knowledge. Otherwise there wouldnt be as many diets around. Personally, I have lost a stone in about 1 month by eating lots of vegetables, fish, chicken, a food supplement called Maximol, adding pro biotics to my diet too. I replaced unhealthy snacks by dried fruits and unsalted peanuts.If you give your body all the nutrients it needs, it doesn’t feel the need to make reserves so you stay a healthy weight.
