Segsy is raising awareness!!
Irrirable Bowl Disease in my early 20’s. When I met my husband I was feeling my best. I thought i could stop my meds but I was wrong. I got really sick. I was bed ridden and almost hospitalized but I fought through it somehow. But I was put on a lot of steroids. My husband and i got engaged and my job was very stressful and i got sick… again. Mostly my mom and my husband made the wedding plans as I was too weak to really go anywhere. Got throught that, the wedding, etc until a year later i got sick again and my doctor put mw in the hospital. I was there for over 2 weeks. Being put on high doses of steroids is not good for anyone… I made it out without any surgery thank goodness. BUT it did take me awhile before i was able to get back to work and feel like myself again. THat was the worst of it. Now, years later, I have an 8 year old son who has been a blessing to me. I have been in remission for quite some time since. Although I do still take meds. One such medication I have to get an IV transfusion every two weeks. I have bad veins so sometimes I have to get stuck more than once.
This is my very brief story… Please help support my walk for crohn’s and colitis. It’s just a month away. Just click on my link HERE and go to my donation page. Read MY story. Thank you in advance.
