Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

self introduction

My name is S, I had spent about 3 years in Australia. I hold 2 degrees. One is a bachelor degree in Commerce, the other one is a diploma in interpreting from English to Chinese.

I had been working in the previous 3 years in Australia

My first job was at the reception of M University, which is my university.I got the job after 4 months arriving in that country.Students alwasy call to ask for help over the phone. My role was to pick up calls and help students solve their problems. As this was my first job, so it was quite difficult for me at the beginning. I worked 20 hours voluntarily get familiar with the new system. My hard work paid off. Later, I got positive feedback constant from both my customers and my supervisor. It was a wonderful working experience. M University was a multi-cultural place. Thus, they are many nationalities that I can get to deal with. I am always curious about different cultures and people,as I believe we can always learn something from any other culture.

In my second job, I was working at an education centre as a consultant. I gave advice to the student on areas like what course they should enrol in to meet their needs and how they can improve their English. I even opened a blog for them.I felt very happy in that job. I felt that I was helping people achieve their dreams. Some students got their desired score in English, and went to their dream universities. I felt proud that I might contributed in helping them chasing their dreams.
my strategy was to genuinely care about my clients and to provide them the best service I could offer!!In this way, they have faith in themself and they have faith in our institution! In this way, they trust us, and may refer prospective students to us in the future!!
After graduating from M U, I started another course in interpreting,as I am very interested in English.Because of my good performance at school, I was recommended by my headmaster to be a interpreter.I got to work with several local authorities and government officials. It opened up my eyes.I felt quite influential when working with these important people.

This is the first reason why I want to work in your company. I want to work along with these important people, I want to learn from them! I want to have a high horizon at the start of my career. The second reason is -I want to help these senior executives to utilize their ability and to get the most out of their lives. I want to help them get to their next level and achieve their dreams. These senior executives are the backbones of our economic world. Through helping them improving themselves, their careers, I might contribute in our economic growth indirectly!
