When I found out that my college theater group was putting on Children of Eden, I knew I had to try out. I had seen the show once before and absolutely loved the music & the story. I was very, very sick the night of auditions (no voice/terrible sore throat!) and played a short digital recording of myself singing Scott Alan’s ballad “Home.” I did NOT expect to get anything but a chorus part, but was thrilled when I was cast as Eve, the Act I lead.
What a beautiful tribute to my faith, and to musical theater! I know the production was mediocre, but my confidence greatly increased and I was blessed to have had the opportunity.
