Still thinking...

...about this once and a while. Trying to determine the best approach to diving back into the 43, if there is one only one way that is ‘best’.

It really seems the only way to go would be to close all current, ancient goals and reboot from nothing.

Any ideas on how to approach restarting here are welcome.

Comments:

I'm with ya.

I was kinda thinking the same thing—of closing all current, ancient goals and restarting.

Well, actually, my first start is to at least write posts about the goals I have done in the past few years. Maybe I’ll start there and see how it goes.

43 things

I found that the easier way to start was with a 43 goal – list 43, take 43 pictures of, – that sort of thing, and don’t do it all in one entry, create a displine for yourself to work on it

as that simple goal works itself out, you would be amazed at how the others follow

rebooting

not that long ago I took down every goal I had on the list except I think one or two. Some I gave up, some of them I called “done”.

Then, I slowly put new ones on, re-added a few that I had taken off. I added some headings. Nothing went on unless it felt 100% authentic and not stressful.

Right now my list is starting to feel stressful again; I may take portions of it down again. I think pruning goals is really helpful. It helps focus on what you really want; takes away dead wood; allows for more light and air.

simple start:

a goal to revitalize your list :)

I agree with folks above; trim trim trim. Mark done what is done. Close out what isn’t relevant any more. It’s a good time to reflect on what makes sense at this time, instead of that older time.

Miss you, my friend <3 I bet V's legs are getting long!

Welcome Back

I’ve missed you around here. I’m going to have to dig out my bacon shirt and wear it tomorrow in your honor.

Like the others above have said, evaluate the goals currently on your list and either complete them or give up on them. Then add new goals and entries. Also touch base on your old subscription list to see what people have been up to, and give them cheers or comments of encouragement.
