I am one of those people that believes people should try everything once so that they know what’s what in the world. Marijuana and harder drugs are all things I would like to try once each in my life… but only once.

Wow...
Are you serious? That is truly one of the most un-inspiring things I have ever heard. You think that it is a good thing to try everything once? How about some rat poison? I think you should try that (and perhaps some drano) once too. Life is short- set goals that make a difference!
You know, instead of attacking me the way you chose to, you could choose a more active approach of asking why instead of the “God you’re a moron” approach.
I fully believe that one does not have the ability to counsel others until they’ve experienced the same thing. I’m studying to be an abuse counselor (drugs/alcohol/etc). I’m not the first of my kind to say “I can’t counsel a marijuana user if I have no idea what it’s like”. I mean, you can, but not nearly as successfully or as respected by the client as if you have some inkling of an idea why they do what they do.
Consider asking why sometime, I think the answers would surprise you. People don’t always have foolish goals for foolish reasons. Sometimes it’s actually for a bettering purpose, whether you agree with my method or not.
