Parental Guidance
Growing up my parents only drank tea, so I was a tea drinker from the beginning. I agree completely. I did however have a lapse and drank coffee at the tail end of highschoollong ago, when I worked for Starbucks. It only lasted for a short time though, it always made me jittery.
I myself only drink green and herbal teas. You?
You can be trusted
Rooibos! High in antioxidants. My favorite is a rooibos blend called Montana Gold made by Butterfly Herbs in Missoula. I don’t know what the other ingredients are for certain, but it smells a bit like anise and citrus peel. Anyway, mmm. Good stuff!
Unfortunately Rooibos like tea, is one of the few plants that accumulates fluoride in its leaves, which is toxic.
Fluoride might give you some sort of buzz or relaxing effect, since it apparently depresses thyroid funtion and might affect nerve cells so that may explain the effects if any of drinking Rooibos.
Yinzhen Silver Needle white tea
My favorite tea of the moment is Yinzhen Silver Needle. It’s pricey, but oh so worth it.
