i know that the issues my family battles with are far more deep than what can be resolved by taking a family vacation, but nonetheless, i have always wanted them to take great vacations, live comfortably and enjoy a lil bit of luxury on the go. especially so when i started working and i was entitled to few comforts while traveling.

recently i planned a vacation for my family and we traveled together for a week. we stayed in the best of the hotels and went around the tourist destinations and had the best of meals arranged for us. now, i am not a materialistic person so don’t take me the wrong way. these so called luxuries would not settle fundamental issues but for me, it gives me some happiness to see my hardworking parents to get some rest and for them to do things they never had the time or money for.

while these things are ultimately cursory, i wish i can give them more. peace of mind. a bright looking decade ahead. less worries. a comfortable home.
