When I was in Seattle a while back, I was fortunate enough to be able to meet up with Carm and her husband one night. I’d gotten to know her here first, and she was exactly the same in person (which is actually quite common with those I’ve met from here). I really admire her dedication to family, as it mirrors my own. I hope that my next trip to Seattle we’ll be able to meet up again. Here are my wishes for you, my friend, for the coming year:

May you heal quickly and completely from your injuries, and be able to still take care of your family while you yourself are in need. May you utilize your downtime during your required recovery period to accomplish things around the house that you’ve been putting off like the decluttering and dealing with the mail. And may you commit to taking the bus to work more often once you are able to go back to work.
