太陽たいよう = the Sun

it’s solar as well.

When you(we) say just “太陽”, it is “Sun”.

And when you(we) say “太陽～” with another word (for example - “太陽電池”, “太陽エネルギー”), it means “solar”.

I don’t know how much i can help you cuz I’m not very fluent in English, but if you have question you can ask me.

I can tell you whatever I know (in my own English lol ).
