my boyfriend forced me to get acrylic nails 3 weeks ago. when i say forced, i really mean it. i am really, really cheap when it comes to doing things for myself, so he often has to push me to buy new clothes and other things. so 3 weeks ago on a sunday i was having a mental breakdown about my life. the bf made me go for a walk with him to ease my mind, and lo and behold we ended up at the salon. he sat me down for a 1.5 hour nail appointment while he supposedly waited at a nearby park “reading”. i discovered after i met up with him and returned home that he’d actually spent the time cleaning our apartment and starting on dinner. what an amazing guy, right anyways, 2 weeks after that nail appointment i got the manicure touched up and the gel filled in. it cost $30 and i’m considering re-doing them every 2-3 weeks. it’s not as much money as i was expecting, and it solves the nail biting problem… just not sure if that money would be better spent somewhere else!
