I just gave my seventh loan today – or my eight as Kiva counts expired loans too.

It went to Lilian in Kenya for an ambitious project:

Lilian is a prospective student applying for a loan to start her undergraduate work on a Bachelor of Science in Informatics degree at Strathmore University.

It’s a rather large loan for more than $15000 and Lilian is only 17. She will not be repaying for some years and the loan duration is 122 months.

I hope Lilian is able to follow her dream!

I didn't realize Kiva gave education loans.

I love kiva and the idea behind the loans. I also loan money on Vittana, which is used for education. Vittana is much smaller than Kiva, with a similar idea.

Congrats to you for helping to make someone else’s life better. And cheers to Lilian for pursuing her dream.

I had not heard of Vittana before, I’ll check that out, thank you!
Kiva has some education loans, but that was a whole bunch of loans from an university in Kenya.
I’m happy all the students goals got funded!
