THe MArriage PLot.
This book was very good. It was written by the guy who wrote The Virgin suicides (which Iv’e read) and Middlesex (which haven’t). IT was a story, kind of about a love triange. Madeline, a snotty rich girl who kinda reminded me of Cat (the good parts of her personality). Then she was in love with Leonard, the cool kid who was also a “manic depressive”. Also Mitchell, who was also in love with Madeline and his story was a spirital / religious jouney around the world. I know I’m not explaining it well, but the book was so insightful and made me feel something. I really felt for the characters, all of them, even Madeline even though at times I didn’t want to. THe explains the ending as well which I appreciate. Gives it closure and lets us know what the motivations for the characters were. Beautifuly written. This was proabably in my top 20 list of books I’ve ever read. Next I’m moving on to FIGHT CLUB, and chuck palahnuik has quite a different literary vibe so it’s a change.
