By having a major shuffle around of various bits and pieces I have created more storage space and am storing things more efficiently.

A double cupboard in the kitchen housed an eclectic collection of stuff – mostly not kitchen-related. Now its contents have been sorted and moved to new, more appropriate cupboards and the result is an empty kitchen cupboard that is available to take all the things that ought to be in the kitchen but were previously dotted about all over the place. We had been looking for another cupboard for the utility room to take all this paraphernalia and now we don’t need one. Fantastic!
