adopt a kitten
Of Pets and Places

This goal goes along with moving into my own apartment, as two of the people I live with are highly allergic to cats.

I’ve been keeping my eyes open for a (hopefully near) future place and kitten, and am not too far with my apartment search, but have fallen in love with a kitten I saw on Petfinder. She’s too young to be adopted now, so this gives me some time, but I’m trying not to get attached just quite yet.

In the meantime, I’m gaining the trust of, and making friends with, a baby chipmunk (Hoover Jr.? :D) and his family! I don’t know enough about their nutrition, so I’ve just been giving them Reiki, and it’s amazing how well they respond to it! :)

I hesitate to feed them, for a couple reasons, but if I do decide to, I’ll be sure to get out the sunflower seeds. :D

Risks

The risk of feeding them is then you have more and then you get predators, in our case cats.

But they are soooo cute.

Oh! I wish you were closer to Texas

because someone abandoned a precious, loving cat at my parents’ farm. It is obvious that she is not feral, and looooves humans. It is a shame I’ve got two cats. However, she has had three kittens already! All adorable, too! Orange and white tabby.

Need to get them spayed, or he’s gonna have a kitten herd before long!

Here is mama kitty (right) and one kitten (left). Not their finest hour, playing with dried cow pooh, but hey, you are probably too far away to want them anyhow ;)

My dad doesn’t really like having them around, even though they have obviously adapted to barn life :) But then I’d have 6 kitties… eep!

Oh my goodness, me too!

When I first saw this, I actually considered flying down (I also have family in Texas I’d love to visit), but that’s unfortunately not realistic at the moment.

I do appreciate you thinking of me, though, and sharing that adorable picture (even playing with cow poo, they are adorable :D)! I hope you find a wonderful home for them! ♥

I always thought it’d be cool if you could actually send or move something via balloons or birds. :-D But I’m sure you’ll find a good fit for them somewhere closer. :)

And I feel the same way; I’d love to meet you (and take a tour of Austin, or whatever :)!
