3. The Last Patriot by Brad Thor (Pocket Books, 2008)

This is a book that I read a few years ago. When I read it then, I hadn’t read the preceding books in Thor’s series. After I read this book initially, back in 2009, I started at the first Thor book about agent Scot Harvath. Finally, I caught back up to this installment. I didn’t want to skip over it because I forgot what the story was exactly. I really did forget. When I read this a second time, there were so many times that I said, whoa, I don’t remember this one bit.

Anyway, I’m glad that I reread it, although I usually think that life is too short to read some books more than once. In this case, I’m truly ready for the next book in the series and will have all the pieces synchronized going forward.
