Bee Sage obsessed with learning

Read a second book from each class of the Dewey Decimal System (read all 7 entries…)
Book 6

582.16 ROB The Man Who Planted Trees by Jim Robbins

The main subject’s backstory is a little wild. But if he’s working his tail off to save the planet and plant trees, I don’t care if “light beings” or the Lorax is telling him to do it. Other than that, this book is great. It’s a little bit backstory of the man who planted trees, and a little bit science. And the science bit it great. If I owned my yard, I’d have driven to the nursery, bought a tree, and planted it the same day I finished this book. Almost did, landlord be damned, until I remembered I don’t own a shovel (not one for digging anyway). Will be buying a tree for a housewarming gift if my parents actually end up moving.

The most awesome thing I read was that trees aerosolize chemical compounds, many of them we use in medicine. So breathing tree air is healing! No wonder walking in the woods is so pleasant.
