Oh boy.

I stopped my gym membership because I was heading into exams, traveling and moving house, and wouldn’t get there as often as I’d like. I bought scales to weigh my suitcase and the number staring back at me was not nice!

I need to lose 10-15kg and I’d really like to do some serious toning. I’m not in a position financially to rejoin right now but I will be in a few weeks. I’m hoping to hit it hard and work out at least 5 or 6 days a week. Definitely doable since I pass the gym every day on my way to and from work.

There are alternatives

You could take up walking or running for example in order to do some aerobic exercise, and for toning there are countless exercises that you could do at home with dumbbells or with your own body. There are also countless resources on the internet that will tell you what to do and how. Last, but not least, you may also want to look into getting some exercise videos.

Thanks for your suggestions and taking the time to respond. Just as some people can’t learn outside of a traditional classroom, I can’t exercise out of a gym environment. I lose motivation and interest even with a buddy. So until I rejoin I will be keeping an eye on my diet.
