Thought Of You

Tuesday morning I was standing outside the ambulance hall chatting with people when I saw a piece of paper money blowing in the wind in the parking lot. I walked over and picked it up announcing I’d just made $1. Then I noticed another bill hiding beneath a vehicle. I went and picked that one up and it was a $20. I scanned and found one more $1 over on the other side of the parking lot. Of the four of us outside, I’m the only one who noticed the loose money. Just goes to show that those of us who have this kind of a goal are more observant than others.

Oh my gosh!

You are the luckiest person I know! :-) Thanks for reminding the rest of us that it’s worth it to keep looking.

I found a $20 bill in a parking lot when I was in college, and I still talk about it. If I found $22 dollars blowing around a parking lot, I’d drive people crazy with that.

Crazy

One of the first times I went to a major league baseball game I found $22 under a seat as we were walking out. My mom wanted to turn it in, while dad told me to keep walking.

Keep looking!

Totally off topic...

Totally… unless you count finding things. I was just registering books at bookcrossing and saw a random book (you know, the four that pop up as recently caught anywhere in the whole wide world) come up as found/journaled. For no reason whatsoever I clicked it and it was a book that YOU left in the canning isle at Rural King. I recognized your icon/name and thought wow… small, small world.

It really is a small world.

I’m often amazed at how small. I’ve done the same thing as you and clicked on one of those found or released books, only to find that it was someone I “know” or in a release spot that I know.

When I received your BC friend request, I thought “why does that name sound familiar?” and then it hit me. Thanks for completing the circle!

I'm still on the registering train

...as far as freeing my own books, but soon, soon. I’m trying to decide if I want to add anything extra to the covers (do you?). Impressive that you’ve released over 1000!

My dear husband...

was fed up with me hand writing post-it notes for the front of all my BC wild releases. Two xmas’s ago he asked his cousin to print a whole box of post-it sized notes for me. I have to use repositionable craft glue on them, but it sure saves a lot of time. And a lot of griping from my husband. :-) Now he only complains about my over-flowing BC bookshelf (the real one). I’ve got the reputation of wanting any and all books so now friends tend to bring by boxes of them. Lately, I’ve done a lot of wild releases and have had some good journal entries – I think about 10 of them since April.

If you want to send me your address through BC, I’d be glad to share some of my cover notes with you. Just a little motivation to help you wild release. :-)

I got your message and will be sending the post-its on Thursday, hopefully. I hope they help with your BC releases.
