Okay, not saying that is the only way to be financially responsible, but it is a process.
I’m coming to learn that my PRIORITIES are these three things:
1. Tithe (no if’s, and’s, or but’s – 10% is the minimum)
2. Structure what needs to be paid: i.e. rent, credit card debt, loans, etc. These things come after the tithe.
3. Left over money: 20-30% should go to savings. That’s just necessary. You don’t want to have an emergency and have no money. After that, keep the rest. Normally the rest would go for food and miscellaneous things.
That’s it. Have a goal in mind and if you want to do special things – save up!
