Oceans and seas, rives and lakes, waterfalls and rain. So, water in general.

I rediscovered a video yesterday, taken by Evie during our Great American Lunacy, showing me dunking my head in the chilly water of Multnomah Creek. That was both soothing and refreshing.

Back rubs

- heat I sigh in content whenever I wash my hands, turn on the shower, lying in the sun, etc.
- Greek yogurt
- Big, strong, tight hugs
- blueberry green tea
- coffee with hazelnut creme
- good music…classic rock and smooth jazz usually
- a cuddly firm bed
- the way my best friend says my name when I’m getting angry
- the way B plays with my hair when I’m napping
- chocolate!...and chocolate cookies, home made chocolate brownies, chocolate milkshakes….I think you get the point
- good food; home made and Asian typically

I’m a simple kind of person =)

Sometimes, it’s eating. I don’t mean binge eating chips or chocolate, but having a good balanced meal. Sometimes edginess is my blood sugar talking.

Yoga is wonderful. The woman on my yoga DVD has the best soothing voice, and during the relaxation part, you go through relaxing each part of your body in a conscious manner, and at the end, just laying there. I can often hardly move after that, I’m so relaxed.

A walk is usually good, or reading (though if I’m agitated I can’t focus on a book).

Going and sitting with my mares. They seem to be able to bring me back down by breathing with me. I wonder if they realize they’re doing it. They literally just put their noses near my face and breathe quietly, and get deeper and deeper. You can’t help but breathe with them, and before you know it, you feel better.
