My friend L. and I saw someone get hit on a bike by a car while we were driving to the store….it was traumatic, scary, and sad…we are not sure if he made it or not, but it did not look good ~ life is so fragile.
I hope he is OK. How upsetting!!
Prayers going up for the cyclist.

I’ve been praying for him, the family, and the driver as well… I cannot imagine…
what makes this incident even worse is… my friend lost the love of her life to a motorcycle accident five years ago…and the way this happened in the street & how he was positioned in the street was very much as her fiancé had in his accident ~ so she was doubly traumatized… she was driving….and we were both shocked…but I could see her going even more so… I was with her through that trauma and loss…it was beyond explanation.
when she called 911 she kept saying “He was on a motorcycle” and I was saying, “A bicycle…” ~ she finally said it ‘correctly’.
Surreal…and I’ve been checking on her & praying for everyone involved…thank you for praying nic <3

After working in an emergency hospital, I won’t ride my bike in traffic anymore. I wince every time I see someone doing it.

it happened so fast and so final…..
it really makes you see how quickly things happen and that when it’s time..
it’s time…..
I called my son right away and told him to please be careful on his bike and skateboard…he thinks he is invincible….and it’s so damn scary…..
I will now be ‘extra’ careful, but… there’s not much you can do when a bike meets a car… there is no protection. :(
And we had just started to move forward…the cars were not moving fast…

Something like that is quite a shock and really makes you realize how quickly everything can change.
is constantly telling me how overprotective I am for not letting him ride his bike. And whenever we have unsuspecting out of town guests, he lures them into the debate because he knows they will most likely back him up – after all, they rode their bikes everywhere as kids, and that is what is wrong with society today, kids don’t get out and run around enough! But we live in an area that is NOT bike friendly. I mean, the people are generally bike friendly (with some exceptions), but the traffic is very busy and people are rushing to school, to work, and just NOT paying attention.

a female cyclist in Yellowstone. She was riding on the main road through the park, and the side mirror of an RV hit her on the head. She died from the injury, and the driver never even stopped. I expect s/he didn’t even know what happened.
wembleyheads needs to visit 43things daily!
It is traumatic to witness such things. I once saw a cyclist go through a car’s back windshield when the car stopped suddenly. It will take a while for those images to fade. Many hugs, HG!!

my cousin wanted to buy new motorbike.. but other day he saw an accident.. & drop the plan to buy motorbike..
before he was talking only about bikes… this n that.. i m going to buy it here n there.. etc..
Dont know whether we could actually stop things to happen.. we can’t….
just yesterday, di was explaining me somthing n topic goes to her mother in law.. n she said.. if u were here i wouldn’t ve to wait for anyone else.. we could ve moved her to hospital earlier..
she was blaming herself for that thing..
but Do we really know what is going to happen.. & it become so painful.. when it can’t be revert.. n we can’t say… just give me one another chance..
