Yesterday I had to confront a friend on an issue. For 3 weeks I had been crapping my pants because I was thinking up all these different scenarios in my head about “what could happen” and “what response he might have.” Let me tell you, that does not make for a productive lifestyle. Well, over the last several weeks I have been talking with 2 very good friends of mine about the issue and how I was going to go about bringing it up and everything. They both told me that I am right in bringing the problem up and that I have no reason to feel bad or anything. He is the one with the problem, not me. Well, we met at Starbucks and were there for about 2 hours discussin different things. By the time I left, he had decided that we can’t be friends anymore. Now, because I am good friends with one of his ex girlfriends, I know a little bit of his history. He DOES NOT like to be called on things that he is doing wrong. He would rather run from a problem than fix it. Well, he was quite angry with me yesterday. Angry because I am no longer willing to let him walk all over me and treat me like his “b-otch” (as one good friend put it). I stood my ground and he decided to cut ties with me. It’s tough losing a friend. But, his loss. He misses out on an incredible friend! Well, what can I say except, my confidence is definitely blossoming!!!!!
