Loved these. So much better than the Mage Wars trilogy. I couldn’t put them down. I do have one complaint. The description on the back of the books does not give an accurate description of what the books are actually about. It was as if they were trying to avoid having to mention the fact that Vanyel is a gay character (which is a pretty impossible thing to miss while reading the books). That aside, definitely on the road to becoming a favorite. I’ll re-read it next year and I’ll be able to say for sure. ;)
