signora oye vey to hell with perfect
I always knew her name as the one she took on when she married my great grandfather, but yesterday I learned her maiden name. Knowing this information made her more three-dimensional in my mind, it felt so nice to be able to say her name aloud.
On a whim, I typed her first, middle, and maiden names into a google search. She came up as the first hit, on a genealogy website. Through the site I was able to find out her parents names [and birth places in Sweden … that could be something fun to explore :)] and their parents names.
I inherited her wedding ring, which I wear as my own wedding ring. I knew it was from the early 20’s, but I now know she first donned it on March 1st, 1923 – a Thursday.
