Day 2…. I now realize how much my mind has gone astray. It thinks about things it shouldn’t and the temptations start. I need to gain control over my mind and then will victory come. Meditate on the hints of God. I’ve begun reading my bible and listening to more Christian music and I do see a change in the way my mind works. I’m on the recut path and I meet with my dad tomorrow for a accountability session.

I must have missed your last post so I went back and read it just now and I am just so overwhelmingly happy for you that you had the courage to tell your dad about your struggles so that he could help you. You are right Daniel, it IS a lie because most dads would want to help their sons and would be grateful that they trusted him enough to open up about it. This is every man’s struggle so all dads can relate if they are Christian or Muslim or some other religion that strives for purity. I am just so happy for you and I believe God is going to bless you in wonderful ways because you humbled yourself and asked for help. I hope my future children will be as open with me as you have been with your dad and just know I am praying for you and rooting for you all the way!!! :)

Thank you! I remember before I told him, I kept hearing this voice saying, ” you don’t need to ask for help… You can do this alone.” for the longest time I listened to it and suffered in silence… Nothing was getting better. Breaking addiction involves being open and that’s the hardest part.

Thanks :) thoughts are what kills me… But what destroys me is when I think on them instead of repenting and getting my mind set on god again. Keep fighting the good fight!! Things will change :)
